Details
Valeo 439790 is a brand-new alternator from Valeo’s new original part range (not remanufactured), so no old unit or exchange deposit is needed. It delivers 120 A at 14 V, has an integrated regulator, a 7-rib freewheel (overrunning) pulley of about 50 mm, four-point mounting, clockwise rotation and an M8 battery terminal. It replaces Renault OE numbers such as 231000091R, 231000803R and 231000861R. This is a genuine branded Valeo part sold by MECA RB.
Fitting advice: disconnect the battery negative before starting. Compare the amperage, pulley and connector with the unit you remove. Fit a new auxiliary belt and check the tensioner at the same time, as a worn belt or tensioner is a common cause of alternator failure. After fitting, check the charging voltage (around 13.8-14.5 V with the engine running).
