Terms of sale
These terms apply to every order placed on this website by a consumer (a person buying for purposes outside their trade or business). Last updated: 24 October 2026.
1. Who we are
MECA RB LTD, Private company limited by shares, registered in England and Wales, company number 17530360, registered office 12 Station Street, Huddersfield, HD1 1LN, England. Contact: contact@meca-boutique.fr, +44 (0)113 496 0123.
2. Products and fitment
All parts are new, genuine branded parts from known manufacturers (Brembo, MANN-FILTER, NGK, Bosch, Gates, KYB, Febi Bilstein, SKF, LuK, Valeo, Philips), resold by MECA RB. Each product page shows the main specifications and the quantity in stock. You are responsible for choosing a part that fits your vehicle: check fitment by registration, VIN or OE number, or use our free fitment check before ordering. Pictures are for illustration.
3. Prices
Prices for the United Kingdom are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include UK VAT at 20%. Prices for France are in euros (EUR) and include French VAT at 20% (TTC). Delivery costs are shown before payment. For France, goods ship from the United Kingdom on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis: import VAT and any customs duties are included in the price, so there is nothing more to pay on delivery.
4. Order and contract
You add parts to your basket, review it, then pay on the secure Stripe payment page. The contract is formed when we send the order confirmation email. We may refuse an order in case of an obvious pricing error or suspected fraud; any payment taken is then refunded in full. Contract language: English or French, as chosen on the site.
5. Payment
Payment is taken by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (cards and wallets offered on the payment page). We never see or store your full card number. Payment is taken when you order.
6. Delivery
We deliver to mainland United Kingdom and metropolitan France. Delivery takes 2 to 3 days after dispatch. Delivery is free from £60.00 / 70,00 €, otherwise a flat fee of £4.95 / 5,95 € applies. If we cannot deliver within 30 days, you may cancel and get a full refund. Risk passes to you when you or a person you name takes possession of the goods. Details: Delivery.
7. Your right to cancel (14 days)
You can cancel your contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The period ends 14 days after the day you (or a person you name, other than the carrier) receive the goods; for an order delivered in several parcels, it runs from the last one.
To cancel, send us a clear statement (email to contact@meca-boutique.fr or letter to MECA RB LTD - Returns, 12 Station Street, Huddersfield, HD1 1LN, England). You may use the model cancellation form, but it is not required. It is enough to send your message before the period ends.
Effects of cancellation. We refund all payments received, including the standard delivery cost, within 14 days of receiving your cancellation. We may wait until we have the goods back or you have supplied proof of return, whichever is first. We use the same payment method unless you agree otherwise; there is no fee. You must send the goods back within 14 days of cancelling, to MECA RB LTD - Returns, 12 Station Street, Huddersfield, HD1 1LN, England. You pay the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for a reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is needed to check the goods: a part that has been fitted, used on a vehicle, or whose packaging seal is destroyed may be refunded at a reduced amount.
8. Legal guarantee and faulty goods
UK customers: under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. You may reject faulty goods for a full refund within 30 days; after that, you are entitled to a repair or replacement, or a price reduction or refund if that fails. You can claim for up to six years (five in Scotland). This does not affect your statutory rights.
French customers: you benefit from the French legal guarantee of conformity (articles L.217-3 to L.217-20 of the Code de la consommation) for 2 years from delivery, and from the guarantee against hidden defects (articles 1641 to 1649 of the Civil Code). See the French version of these terms for the full text.
Report a fault to contact@meca-boutique.fr with your order number and photos. For faulty or wrongly sent parts, we pay the return.
9. Liability
Parts must be fitted according to the vehicle manufacturer’s procedure; safety parts (brakes, suspension, timing) should be fitted by a qualified mechanic. We are not liable for damage caused by incorrect fitting or by use of a part on a vehicle it does not fit. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for defective products.
10. Complaints and disputes
Contact us first: contact@meca-boutique.fr. French customers may also use a consumer mediator free of charge (article L.612-1 of the Code de la consommation): CMAP - Centre de Médiation et d’Arbitrage de Paris (service de médiation de la consommation), 39 avenue Franklin D. Roosevelt, 75008 Paris, France, https://www.cmap.fr (membership being finalised). The European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform closed on 20 July 2025 and is no longer available.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in France, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of French law and may bring proceedings in the French courts. UK consumers may bring proceedings in England and Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, according to where they live.
