The MANN-FILTER PU 8028 is a genuine branded diesel fuel filter insert sold by MECA RB. It is the paper-element cartridge that replaces OE 5Q0 127 177 (also 5Q0 127 177 B/D and 5Q0 127 400 F) on many 1.6 and 2.0 TDI engines of the VW group: Golf VII, Audi A3 8V, Skoda Octavia III, Seat Leon III and more. MANN-FILTER supplies original equipment to car makers.
Dimensions: outer diameter 80 mm, top ring 94 mm, inner diameter 10 mm, height 149 mm. MANN-FILTER lists it for filter housings without a water sensor.
Fitting advice: work with a cold engine, catch the diesel with a tray and lightly wet the housing O-ring with clean diesel before closing the housing. After fitting, prime the system by switching the ignition on several times before starting. Replace it according to the vehicle manufacturer’s service schedule.
